Volunteer – Vacancies and availability in Edinburgh

Volunteers are vital to Caring Christmas Trees in Edinburgh, both for promotion to help spread the word and on tree
distribution days. We need a lot of people, each helping a little bit. Even if you only have a few hours to spare, we'll be
delighted to hear from you.

How to volunteer

If you'd like to volunteer, select the type of job you'd like to volunteer for (as well as the location and time) from the tables below then click 'proceed' at the bottom of the page and complete the volunteer form on the next page.

After completing and submitting the form you can change your times and location or volunteer some more by logging in with the username and password provided with your email confirmation.

Training

For those helping with Distribution or Site Setup, you can attend a 1hr training session:

Requirements for Distribution

We need your help to give out Caring Christmas Trees. Working in a team, we need you to greet customers, check off their tree orders, guide them to the relevant size section and help them to choose the tree they'll be taking home. The trees then need to be netted and taken to customers' cars. If you enjoy getting into the Christmas spirit this one's for you. There's nothing like the smile on a happy customer's face as they collect their tree. And it's great to do this with a group of friends or colleagues so why not get a group of 4 or 5 people and sign up together.

Requirements for Site Set-up

We need help setting up the sites!

If you enjoy physical work and can spare a couple of hours we would love your help to get trees out of the vans and arrange them into sizes at the sites. We need three at a time, so why not sign up with some friends.
