about the trees
All our trees are freshly-cut, grade 1 standard, and Scottish-grown. They come only from managed, sustainable forests and are sourced from members of the British Christmas Tree Growers Association who ensure high environmental standards.
(For example, on the right are Humphrey and Ian from Harburn Woodlands, showing off one of their top-quality Norway Spruces. Looking good, boys.)
All trees are Nordman firs: the most popular type of Christmas tree. It retains its needles very well, has glossy, deep green foliage and is an attractive shape. The needles, which point forward and grow round the branches, are soft and thick with white lines on the underside; the bark is smooth and grey.
All trees will be netted for safe transit.
