The Christmas season has come to a close, but you can start the New Year by being green! Here is how you can recycle your Christmas tree.
Simply take off the stand and decorations and place your tree on the kerbside in your brown bin on your designated pick up day. If the tree is over 6ft please cut it in half! To find out when to put your Christmas tree out for recycling, visit the Council website.
Remove your tree stand, baubles and tinsel, then find your nearest recycling location and drop off your tree! To find the recycling location nearest to you, head to the Fife Council website.
Firstly, remove all decorations from your tree. If you have brown bin service, cut it into manageable pieces and put them in your brown bin and on the kerbside for your scheduled pick-up day. If you want to get rid of it sooner, or do not have a brown bin, find a recycling centre close to you on the Council website.
By recycling your tree, you are helping to prevent unneeded rubbish and helping keep our planet clean.
We hope your Caring Christmas Tree filled your home with joy this Christmas, and we appreciate your support this winter.
