Volunteer with Caring Christmas Trees

Caring Christmas Tree volunteers support our commitment to ending homelessness in Scotland, one person, one family and one community at a time. Our volunteers ensure the collection sites are safe, full of festive cheer, and help customers to find their perfect Christmas tree.

We are absolutely delighted that you have decided to help by volunteering your time. Our volunteers are key to the success of Caring Christmas Trees.

What is involved?

Our Caring Christmas Tree volunteers help at our outdoor collection sites in Edinburgh, East Lothian, West Lothian, Fife and Glasgow.

You'll be greeting people, checking their orders, assisting them to select their perfect tree and generally helping things run smoothly, with lots of festive cheer. You can volunteer for just a morning or afternoon slot, or for as many times as you like!

Tree Sitters Needed

Tree Sitter volunteers are crucial to Caring Christmas Trees! We need early bird volunteers to sit with our trees when they are delivered to the collection sites first thing in the morning, until the rest of the volunteer team arrives.

If you would enjoy the peace and quiet of an early morning with a flask of coffee or hot chocolate at your side, then we would love to hear from you!

As well as individual volunteers, we also welcome groups of volunteers! Gather your sports club, colleagues, friends and neighbours to volunteer as a team.

It's a great way to have some festive fun together and give back to the local community.
